SQ-710005 UV Casting/Transfer Coating for PMMA Substrates

SQ-710005 UV Casting/Transfer Coating for PMMA Substrates

Description
SQ-710005 is a one-component, UV-curable casting/transfer coating designed for forming textured or patterned surfaces directly onto PMMA substrates using various molds and structures. It can be applied via manual transfer with small molds for batch processing or through automated, high-volume transfer using structured rollers or texture films.
Typical applications include decorative textures and surface forming for switch panels, decorative boards, home appliances, and other PMMA-based casings.
The product offers excellent mold-release properties, high gloss, superior leveling, UV aging resistance, and outstanding scratch and abrasion resistance.

Excellent scratch and abrasion resistance
Good resistance to yellowing and high transparency
High hardness and low shrinkage

Applications
Decorative and protective texture transfer for PMMA decorative boards, switch panels, and home appliance casings

Construction technology
1.Thoroughly clean the PMMA surface.
2.Pour the coating into the metal mold and align it with the PMMA substrate. Use a roller to press and expel bubbles while ensuring full adhesive coverage.
3.Cure with UV light at 265 nm or 395 nm wavelength; position the lamp as close as possible to accelerate curing.
4.Peel the PMMA from the mold—the cured coating will release completely from the mold and adhere to the PMMA surface.
5.If curing is incomplete, continue UV irradiation until the coating is fully cure

Construction process
Unwinding → Coating onto specially treated release film → Mold roller embossing → UV curing → Demolding → Rewinding → Printing/ink application → Slitting → Forming → Injection molding → Removing surface polyester film → Applying hard coat layer

Precautions
1.Ensure sufficient UV energy is applied for complete curing; under-curing will reduce performance.
2.Do not pour unused coating back into the original container. Store in sealed containers, away from light, at ≤30°C.

Storage
To prevent the product from polymerization and gelling, please keep it sealed and away from heat and light. Recommended storage temperature is not higher than 30°C. Unused products must be sealed and stored in a timely manner and cannot be stored in the open. Shelf life: 6 months under normal storage conditions (25°C, ventilated environment).
Packaging: 5 kg, 25 kg, 200kg per container.

Tips: SQ-710005 provides excellent scratch resistance and high hardness, making it ideal for durable, decorative PMMA applications.
